5kg Black BES Clay
This clay is great to work with. When fired to stoneware temperature it goes a dark black. However, please note that the clay can bloat or warp at stoneware temperature. It prefers to be fired to 1190 but we fire to 1200 at the Clay Hands studio.

Students are responsible for recycling their own clay if they wish to reuse it. Simply spray your leftover clay with water, store it in your recycling tub for a week, and then wedge it the following week for reuse.
The Clay Hands studio doesn't have systems set up for recycling any clay other than our 'house' TR5 clay so students must take full responsibility for managing clay waste.
