WHEEL THROWING
Throwing refers to the process of shaping clay on the potters wheel while spinning, a challenging technique to master that once through the initial frustrations can be very meditative and a great way to make clay shapes.
IN TERM 1 2023 WE WILL BE OFFERING A MORNING WHEEL THROWING FOUNDATION CLASS AND THEN FROM TERM 2 WILL BE PICKING UP EVENING FOUNDATIONS FOR THE WHEEL AGAIN
> Become familiar with some of the foundational wheel throwing techniques required for forming shapes on the wheel; throwing and trimming cylinders and bowls, pulling handles and glazing
> Lots of guided practice time on the wheel
> Fee is all inclusive of clay + paints + glazes + firing + studio time
