Term 4, 2025 – Thursday Evening Pottery 📅 6 October – 8 December (10 sessions) ⏰ Thursdays, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM 🏺 • R1,800 per month (3 months) – billed monthly   • or R5,400 once-off upfront Our welcoming, community-centered studio is a space to explore clay and connect with others. Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned maker, our mixed-level classes offer expert guidance with lead teacher Val and assistant Nina. ✨ Secure your spot with the first month’s payment. Our classes run on a subscription basis: pay monthly or all at once for the term. Following invoices are sent on the 25th of each month (due 1 October, 1 November, 1 December). Please select 'Manual' payment for EFT details at checkout. ⸻ ✨ Choose Your Clay Path HAND BUILDING • Beginner-friendly with rewarding results from the first class • Learn pinch pots, coiling, and slab building • Creative freedom with endless shapes and designs • 10 spaces available WHEEL THROWING • Challenging but deeply rewarding • Most beginners take 3–4 sessions to find their centering rhythm • Starting with hand building helps build confidence • Limited to 8 wheels Beginner’s Note: We recommend 4 hand-building lessons before moving to the wheel. ⸻ ✨ What’s Included • Freedom to explore both wheel & hand-building techniques • Firing, underglazes & full access to our dip-glaze library • 90cm shelf for work-in-progress • 5kg clay per term (extra available at student rates) ⸻ ✨ Class Flow & Demos (7:00–7:30 PM) 1. Decorating & glazing 9. Final glazing 10. End-of-term festivities! ⸻ 📢 Studio Guidelines • Respect & Creativity: A safe, non-judgmental space to learn & play • Catch-ups: Within the same term, with 24h notice if missing class • Storage: Work kept for 2 months after you leave • Refunds: No refunds within 5 business days of term start (unless we fill your spot) • Parking & Security: Roger, our friendly guard, will guide you on Victoria Road and walk you to/from your car

Cancellation Policy

Enrollment in workshops, classes and courses is limited. • If notice of cancellation is received more than 5 days before the workshop/class/course the fee will be refunded • Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received less than 4 business days before the program begins unless that space can be filled. NO REFUND is issued in the event you cancel or do not show up on the start date. • In the event of emergency/illness, send an alternative person in your place. mail us the name and email address of that person. Alternatively, if notice is given and there is a person on a waiting list that can fill your space a full refund will be given. • Classes, courses and series requires a weekly commitment for a number of consecutive weeks. Catch-ups cannot be accommodated for foundation courses as too much will be missed out. Check dates carefully. • Clay Hands reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop/class/course due to low enrolment or other unforeseen circumstances.
