Term 23 2026 – Wednesday Evening Mixed Level Pottery 📅 16 July - 16 September (10 sessions) ⏰ Wednesdays, 6pm - 9pm 🏺 R5,400 once-off upfront or split payment into interest free instalments through Payflex Our Wednesday night class is designed for students who have already completed at least one foundational pottery course. The focus in this class will be to build on skills with expert guidance from Tash, and to build a sense of community. ✨ INTERMEDIATE CLASS FOCUS: HAND BUILDING: - Build on your existing skills with more complex forms and techniques - Explore advanced surface decoration, texture work, and sculptural elements - Perfect for refining your personal style and artistic expression - 12 spaces available at the hand-building tables WHEEL THROWING: - Develop beyond basic centering and cylinder forms - Learn advanced techniques for creating larger forms, sets, and complex shapes - Focus on refinement, consistency, and personal style development - 8 wheels available NOTE FOR NEW STUDENTS: This class requires previous pottery experience. If you're new to clay, please join our beginner-friendly classes on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings, or Saturday mornings. Welcome, wedging demo, pinch pots 2. Joining pinch pots into a vase 3. Coiling techniques 4. Slab-built vessels 5. Wheel intro: cylinders 6. Glazing & trimming 7. Wheel: bowls & wider forms 8. Decorating & glazing 9. Final glazing 10. End-of-term festivities! ⸻ ✨ How Payment Works • You can now book your place using Payflex which lets you split your fee into smaller, interest free payments. • Prefer to pay upfront. Simply select the once off fee at checkout and you are all set. ⸻ 📢 Studio Guidelines • Respect & Creativity: A safe, non-judgmental space to learn & play • Catch-ups: Within the same term, with 24h notice if missing class • Storage: Work kept for 2 months after you leave • Refunds: No refunds within 5 business days of term start (unless we fill your spot) • Parking & Security: Roger, our friendly guard, will guide you on Victoria Road and walk you to/from your car

Cancellation Policy

• If notice of cancellation is received more than 5 days before the workshop, class, or course, your fee will be refunded less a 10% cancellation fee. • Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made less than 4 business days before the program begins, unless the space can be filled. • No refund is issued if you cancel or do not show up on the start date. • In the event of illness or emergency, you’re welcome to send someone in your place. Please email their name and contact details to info@clayhands.co.za before the session. • Clay Hands reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop, class, or course due to low enrolment or unforeseen circumstances. Should this happen, you’ll be notified by email or phone at least 4 business days in advance and receive a full refund.
