A wonderful way to spend a morning in the glow of the festive season - getting creative with luminous porcelain clay. Pure white porcelain captures light beautifully, especially when worked thin, allowing the gentle flicker of a candle flame to shine through once fired. Enjoy pressing textures and patterns into porcelain slabs to create glowing lanterns and candle covers, each one unique in its play of light and shadow. The workshop begins with a demonstration on how to form these simple yet elegant cylindrical pieces, followed by time to explore your own designs and surface details. Guided by Valeria, this calm and creative session welcomes all levels of clay experience (beginner friendly). R850, all inclusive. Tea, coffee and festive light refreshments provided. Finished pieces will be ready for collection on Monday 22nd or Tuesday 23rd — just in time to add a handmade touch to your holiday table. Or otherwise can be collected in the new year.
Cancellation Policy
• If notice of cancellation is received more than 5 days before the workshop, class, or course, your fee will be refunded less a 10% cancellation fee. • Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made less than 4 business days before the program begins, unless the space can be filled. • No refund is issued if you cancel or do not show up on the start date. • In the event of illness or emergency, you’re welcome to send someone in your place. Please email their name and contact details to info@clayhands.co.za before the session. • Clay Hands reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop, class, or course due to low enrolment or unforeseen circumstances. Should this happen, you’ll be notified by email or phone at least 4 business days in advance and receive a full refund.
