How can I book a class?

What kind of classes do you offer?

We run term-based classes that follow a weekly rhythm. Our sessions welcome beginners and experienced makers alike, with hand-building and wheel-throwing woven into the mix. We have some classes that are more beginner focused, like our 'intro to the wheel' short course and some that are more intermediate focused like our 'advancing clay' classes.

Do I need any experience to join?

Not at all. Many of our students start with no clay background — curiosity is enough.

How long is a term

For 2025 each term runs for 10 weeks. Week-day classes meet once a week for 3 hours, and our Saturday classes meet every second week

What if I miss a class

1. Regular and advancing classes
From Term 4, each student will have 2 guaranteed catch-ups, plus the option to join additional classes if there’s space available.
If you miss more than that, you’ll also be able to book a reduced-rate drop-in to make up for it — so you never feel like you’re losing out. Catch-up sessions must be used within the term

2.  Saturday short courses
 • Because our Saturday short courses are compact and structured differently, we don’t offer regular catch-ups. Instead, we’ve built in ways to support you if you miss a class and you can request a free handout / step-by-step instructions of what was missed

Question 6

Do you provide materials?

Accepted Answer

Yes - we provide aprons, tea, Deluxe coffee, tools and all firing. Extensive colour slips, underglazes, access to about 15 different gorgeous dipping glazes and Amaco paint-on glazes are all included too. Each student begins with 5kg of clay; additional clay is available at a discounted studio rate.
