Candle holder workshop

Get your hands dirty and explore your creativity at our special evening edition of our candle holder workshop. Learn the slabbing method of hand building construction step-by-step, and create your own unique ceramic candle holder. We'll be playing with a loose theme of forms that can hold candles: votive/tealight/pillars. Either make a vessel to support a candle or make a tealight cover that let's light shine through cut-out shapes. Valeria will be guiding this workshop and giving a step-by-step demonstration of 'slabbing' and 'coiling' methods of clay construction to create these pieces. Participants can choose to make one larger piece or a set of 2 smaller pieces. All levels of clay experience welcome (beginner friendly). R580, all inclusive. Tea/coffee and light refreshments served. Items glazed and fired for you, ready for collection 6 weeks later.

Cancellation Policy

Enrollment in workshops, classes and courses is limited. • If notice of cancellation is received more than 5 days before the workshop/class/course the fee will be refunded • Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received less than 4 business days before the program begins unless that space can be filled. NO REFUND is issued in the event you cancel or do not show up on the start date. • In the event of emergency/illness, send an alternative person in your place. mail us the name and email address of that person. Alternatively, if notice is given and there is a person on a waiting list that can fill your space a full refund will be given. • Classes, courses and series requires a weekly commitment for a number of consecutive weeks. Catch-ups cannot be accommodated for foundation courses as too much will be missed out. Check dates carefully. • Clay Hands reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop/class/course due to low enrolment or other unforeseen circumstances.
